Acts 1:8 says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

This whole idea of being a witness for Christ is so heavy on my heart. Did you know that this is one of the reasons God left us with the promise of the Holy Spirit? We receive power when we encounter the Holy Spirit, and that power equips us to go out and demonstrate the character and essence of who God is. We are called to be His Witnesses!

How many times have we said or thought as someone was giving us advice, “Don’t tell me - show me the proof of this in your own life?” You know, I’m so convinced that there is no better sermon preached than the one you preach with your actual life living.

If you couldn’t say a word but everything was based solely on your actions, would it be enough to make someone want to give his/her life to God and get to know HIM better?

Ephesians 5:1 says, “Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.”

You can tell people about Jesus, about your church or what you know to be right, but if you aren’t willing to allow that same God to transform your attitude, fleshly desires and emotions to become more Christlike in lifestyle, then that’s false advertisement.

Our God is strong enough to change us for real! All of us! We have to recognize that our actions speak much louder than our words!

My question is, “Are your actions leading people to God or away from Him?” We have to be living witnesses, not just with words but also in our actions!
